COURSE

DESCRIPTION

This is a collaborative, international, cross-institution course in leading organizational change in which students engage stakeholders, conduct research, and develop proposals and recommendations for how to make a positive impact within an organization. The practice of social intrapreneurship explores a range of skills including critical analysis, persuasive writing, oral communication, qualitative and quantitative reasoning, and social-emotional intelligence. This hands-on course is designed for students to learn and apply skills to successfully facilitate change in organizations. Working with faculty from across the world, students build their capacity to lead successful change. The course introduces concepts, methods, competencies, and tools. Students deepen their understanding of the challenges, techniques, and opportunities associated with leading change in organizations with an emphasis on fostering healthy, just, sustainable, and resilient organizations. While the course is designed around the concept of leading change in organizations, students find that the skills and tools introduced in this class are useful in many aspects of life and work, and are transferable to a broad range of settings, from designing a complex project to navigating challenging interpersonal relationships. This course is designed to be real, meaningful, and impactful on life and work.
