COURSE

DESCRIPTION

This semester-long OSUN Network class is a project-based course designed to help introduce students to documentary film techniques, and help student teams produce documentaries on local issues. The course offers rich custom-produced guides to smartphone filming, interviewing techniques, field production, and editing, as well as small group mentoring sessions and workshops. This course can be used to make final projects for OSUN classes. Students in other classes and majors are encouraged to apply and join. All video projects would need to be approved by each course instructor. Students from previous versions of this course have made amazing films and digital case studies, many of which are now used in OSUN classes or used in social media campaigns by NGOs and other organizations.
